The odor problem of PVC baseball mainly stems from the residues of chemical substances used in the manufacturing process, such as polyvinyl chloride monomers, stabilizers and plasticizers, etc. When the processing temperature rises, the unpleasant smell will be released. The following solutions can be taken to address this issue:

Natural evaporation and ventilation

Drying method: Place the PVC baseball in a well-ventilated area to dry for a period of time, and use the air circulation to remove the odor.

Ventilation method: Use equipment such as electric fans to accelerate air circulation and help odors evaporate more quickly.

Chemical treatment

Adding deodorizer: Deodorizer removes odors through chemical reactions and neutralization reactions. Generally, 2kg of deodorizer is added to one ton of material, and the removal rate can reach 99%.

Soaking in detergent: Soak the baseball in a detergent such as milk, vinegar, baking soda, or light salt water. After a certain period of time, some of the smell can be removed.

Physical adsorption

Activated carbon adsorption: Place a baseball together with adsorbents such as activated carbon to absorb odors by taking advantage of its porous structure.

Plant absorption: By taking advantage of the ability of plants such as cacti and spider plants to absorb harmful gases, place a baseball together with these plants.

Substitution and Optimization

Use low-odor raw materials: Select resin materials with less monomer residue, or replace the original raw materials with low-odor stabilizers and plasticizers.

Optimize processing technology: Adjust processing temperature and time to reduce the generation and volatilization of odorous substances.
